Things to consider before choosing which flooring material is right for you:

• Endurance – How much traffic does the area get? Kitchen, family room and hallways generally get a lot more traffic than other areas of your home and may require a flooring choice that is more durable. You should also consider how children and pets may influence your choices.
• Livability – Do you want a soft, warm carpet, vinyl or cork floor underfoot or would you prefer the look of a hard surface floor such as hardwood, laminate or ceramic tile?
• Moisture Resistance – Bathrooms and laundry rooms require flooring that is more water resistant, such as ceramic tile or vinyl.
• Allergens – If this is a concern for your family, consider a hard surface floor such as hardwood, cork, laminate or ceramic tile as they contain fewer crevices or grooves that harbor dust mites and allergens.
